Thank you for all who tried out for Evergreen Cheer.  It takes so much time, energy, and effort. This week was a hard week for everyone!
It was very close this year and teacher evaluations were a huge factor.
You all did so good and I hope you all stay with cheer if it is something you are interested in.
Have a great weekend.
Names of the new squad members will be announced on Monday at school!

CHEER TRYOUTS 2018-2019

Thank you for your interest in becoming an Evergreen Cheerleader for the 2018-2019 school year!

Clinics are mandatory to tryout and will be held Monday, April 9th- Thursday April 12th from 6-730am.

Tryouts will be held Friday April 13th after school, starting at 1pm.
A few hours after tryouts the girls who make the team will be posted here on this blog.

I encourage everyone to come out and try for the team and represent your school! It's a great experience to have for your last year at Jr. High.

You will learn a lot of material this week for tryouts Friday: 1 jump/kick series, 2 cheer, 2 dances, and the school song are all going to be incorporated into tryouts.
Don't be overwhelmed. it will surprise you by Friday how much you have learned and know.

The songs for the dances can be found on Youtube.
  • Dance # 1- Humble-DJ Flex #NJCLUB starts at :11 seconds
  • Dance #2- Bruno Mars-Thats What I like (Cabuizee Remix) starts at 1:20
I will let the girls record these videos and will try to upload them here on Wednesday after clinics.

Here are the words for the cheers. They are repeated 3 times.
  • Cheer #1- VICTORY
    • Victory for the green, black, white. Eagles let's fight!
  • Cheer #2- WHO'S THE BEST
    • Who's the best, E J H S
The words for the school song are
  • Dah. Dah Dah, Dah Dah Dah Dah Dah Dah
  • We are the eagles, of Evergreen
  • And we are proud of our colors, green and white
  • We've got the spirit of victory
  • And we are ready to win the fight
  • Rah Rah Rah
  • Go team. and raise the score
  • And give a yell, and a cheer for white and green
  • Sing out your praises for evermore
  • We're always loyal to Evergreeeeennnnn.
I hope you all continue to show up each day for clinics and come to tryouts.
Thank you for your hard work, let me know if you have any questions!
